Meet Robert H. McKnight

Robert McKnight has more than 30 years experience in estate planning, commercial litigation, and business legal matters. He worked for the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Atlanta, Georgia, before going into private practice. From 1999 through 2006, Robert McKnight also served as a part-time law professor at Georgia State University College of Law in Atlanta, Georgia.

Mr. McKnight is a member of the State Bar of Colorado and its Sections of Trusts and Estate Planning, and Business Law. He is also a member of the State Bar of Georgia and its Section of Business Law, and has been a member of the Atlanta Bar Association Litigation Section, where he served on its Board of Directors.

EDUCATION:

Robert McKnight received his undergraduate degree with majors in Economics and History from the College of Wooster, Ohio, and his law degree from Wayne State University Law School, Detroit, Michigan. He graduated Cum Laude, was a member of the Law Review, and received several honorary scholarships as well as other academic awards.

He served as an attorney for the Tax Division of the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington D.C. and was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Atlanta, Georgia, prior to entering the private practice of law.
